YSP is a program of and for all young people who wish to take part.
There are no auditions or 
rejections. Any young person from about age 7 to 18 may take part—and perform the words and roles of Shakespeare—simply by registering.
Every participant receives one or more speaking roles in every production.
YSP makes Shakespeare’s masterpieces accessible. The program is designed to show its young actors (and their families and the community) that the plays of Shakespeare (and sometimes Shaw!) are not “dull” or “above them.”
