Outreach Program
YSP is dedicated to bringing the works of Shakespeare to a larger audience. One of the ways we do this is through our outreach program. Since becoming a regular part of YSP in 2009, the outreach group has performed at numerous grade schools, libraries, parent programs, youth festivals, and college classrooms.
YSP currently has two programs available:
Scenes from Shakespeare
Scenes from current or recent productions. This program is ideal for 3rd through 8th grade and 20 to 50 students. For this program we ask you to provide a gymnasium or auditorium space. "Scenes from Shakespeare" is about 40 minutes long, but can be tailored to your needs.
Shakespeare Mini-Workshops
Our second program provides workshops that help students do scenes from Shakespeare themselves. This is best for 3rd through 12th grade, and 5 to 20 students.
